Exhibits

A major focus of the Center is educating the public about wildlife. Our animals reside at the Center but also travel to classroom outreach programs and events. Although the exhibit varies over time, it typically includes:

Arthropods:

  • tarantulas*
  • vinegaroons*
  • Scorpions
  • Solpugids

Myriapods:

  • Centipedes
  • Millipedes

Amphibians:

  • Frogs*
  • Toads*
  • Salamanders*

Reptiles:

  • Most of the snakes that are native to Southeast Arizona
  • Gila Monster

* Indicates those species safe for visitors to handle if properly supervised by a trained educator.
